Who we are & what we do

The EYES team

We are a consortium of three organisations dedicated to empowering youth through climate change education (The Environment and Human Rights Academy), journalism skills (News Decoder) and empowering youth (YEEA).

The EYES project advances international commitments to Climate Change Education (CCE) by providing schools with innovative ways to engage in CCE; enabling teachers to feel confident and motivated to introduce CCE teaching in their lessons; empowering young people with knowledge, skills, voice and a platform to inform and influence others; and helping to foster a community among educators and youth to share information and build solidarity in the face of the climate crisis.

How we aim to achieve these objectives

We’ve self-guided cross-curricular climate change education teaching resources focusing on climate literacy and multimedia journalism production, to develop students’ knowledge, technical and transversal skills, voice and agency; develop multi-format guidance and support tailored to teachers’ diverse needs; and facilitate cross-border multimedia collaboration, online community spaces and in-person teacher training opportunities.

Included in our curriculum is the GreenComp framework. GreenComp is the European sustainability competence framework reference for sustainability competences.
